Sam Z.
Director of Sales | Headquarters
People First. Details Always.
Before Sam ever coached a Shark Coatings sales team, he spent nearly 20 years helping students and educators grow.
Today, as Director of Sales, he has traded the classroom for Shark Coatings, but the teacher in him never really left.
Sam leads, coaches, and supports Shark’s sales professionals with one goal in mind: helping them provide every homeowner with a knowledgeable and exceptional experience. As Sam puts it, part of his job is keeping everyone “swimming in the same direction” so customers can feel confident choosing Shark Coatings for their homes.
About
Sam has been with Shark Coatings since 2022, following a career with Duval County Public Schools that included nearly 11 years as an assistant principal. He also taught Advanced Placement Human Geography and International Baccalaureate Geography and was recognized as Teacher of the Year.
While the industries may seem very different, Sam sees a pretty clear connection between the two. He loves learning, teaching, and helping people discover what they are capable of. Today, that means coaching Shark’s sales professionals, celebrating their growth, and watching their success create opportunities for their own families.
He brings that same philosophy to the customer experience. Sam wants every homeowner to feel heard, valued, and genuinely cared for. By the end of their experience with Shark, his goal is for them to understand their options, know exactly what to expect, and feel confident in the decision they made.
For Sam, success is not just about the final sale. It is about building a strong team, setting a high standard, and creating an experience that people can feel good about from beginning to end.
