Shark Coatings started with a pretty simple idea: do great work, take care of people, and build something nobody could ignore.
As Founder and CEO, Jay built Shark Coatings after seeing too many concrete floors fail long before they should. Between traditional epoxy installations, weekend DIY projects, and what he jokingly calls the “YouTube certified crowd,” he saw an opportunity to do things differently.
So, he did.
About
The goal was not simply to install another coating. Jay wanted to build a company around a better system, a better customer experience, and a product designed to actually last, backed by the best warranty in the industry. That meant setting high standards for the products Shark uses, the people representing the company, and the experience homeowners receive from the first conversation through the finished project.
What started as an idea has grown into a company serving homeowners across multiple markets, but Jay’s original philosophy remains at the center of it: do great work and take care of people.
Shark is something Jay is genuinely passionate about, from where the company is today to where it is headed next. In fact, when Jay isn’t working at Shark, he can usually be found thinking about Shark.
