About

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1997 and retired after more than 20 years of service. After beginning in construction, he spent 18 years in aviation maintenance, working on aircraft and hydraulic components and ultimately releasing aircraft as “Safe for Flight.” After retiring from the Navy, he continued working in aviation maintenance as a supervisor before eventually bringing decades of troubleshooting, repair, planning, and hands-on experience to Shark.

The equipment may have changed, but Chief’s mission really hasn’t.

In the Navy, equipment failure could mean a lost mission. At Shark, his goal is zero lost install days due to mechanical failure. He keeps a close eye on what is down, what is being repaired, and what is ready to return to the field so crews can keep moving and customers’ projects stay on schedule.

Chief also enjoys passing that knowledge along. Whether he is troubleshooting with a crew over the phone or working beside them on site, he likes teaching people how to diagnose and solve problems themselves. For him, a successful repair is even better when someone walks away with a little more knowledge, confidence, and pride in what they can do.

His customers may be internal, but his work ultimately reaches every Shark homeowner. When crews have reliable equipment and the support they need to get the job done, Chief has accomplished his mission.
