Yes, Shark Coatings has done many jobs for commercial and industrial clients. Restaurants, warehouses, schools, apartments, and fire stations are just a few of the places we have worked.

Since we are coating the floor, the floor does need to be cleared. If you have shelves or cabinets, or tools hanging on the wall, those do not need to be moved.

The water heater does not have to be removed. Shark Coatings will profile the concrete up to the edge of the water heater, apply our base coat with flakes and apply the topcoat to make it appear that the water heater is sitting on your new floor. But, if at some point in the future you move the water heater or change the size, you’ll see the space that was not coated. Shark Coatings can come out and fix that area for an additional fee.

If it’s possible to remove the water softener then yes, it’s in your best interest to take the water softener out of the garage during the installation of your new floor. If the water softener is not removed, we will apply the same procedure as the water heater to coat up to the edge of the tank. This tank has a greater chance of movement, while adding salt, thus exposing the area of the concrete that was not coated.

Yes, Shark Coatings offers a 15 year interior and a 5 year exterior warranty.  This warranty covers issues like peeling, delamination, chipping, ensuring a long-lasting performance.

Grinding concrete does generate dust, but at Shark Coatings we use HEPA filters in our vacuums to prevent as much dust as possible.  We will tape the seams in your garage to prevent dust from getting into your home.

At Shark Coatings we use our proprietary blend of Polyurea as a base coat to form a molecular bond with the concrete.  This bond will prevent our product from delaminating or coming off due to hot tire pick-up.  After the base layer is applied, we add our flakes and then the Polyaspartic topcoat.  This procedure is 100% UV stable and is antibacterial and antimicrobial.  Unlike DIY kits, and others that use Epoxy, Shark Coatings professional grade coating will last for years to come.

Yes, Shark Coatings carries insurance on our vehicles, general liability, and workers’ compensation.

For the garage, patio, or walkways you can walk on the floor 12 hours after completion of the installation.  We recommend 24 hours before you bring heavy items like refrigerators, shelving units or cars onto the garage floor.  If your driveway was coated, we recommend 24 hours before driving on the driveway.

No, you do not need to be home for the installation.  We do need access to any area we are coating, like the backyard or the garage though.  The garage door can be left open, and the side gate can be unlocked.

You have multiple options on how to store your stuff.  Shark Coatings has an agreement with Go Mini’s Moving and Portable Storage.  This agreement gives you special pricing as a Shark Coatings customer. Learn more at gominis.com/jacksonville or call 904-806-3583.   You are not obligated to use Go Mini’s.  You can rent a storage truck, any other type of portable storage unit, or just move your items to the side of the driveway or the backyard. 

Under certain circumstances Shark Coatings offers a Valet service to move limited items out of the garage or patio at an additional fee.  If needed, we recommend hiring professional movers or having a pizza party while your friends move your items out of the garage for you.

Yes, for a standard two-car garage, we arrive in the morning and complete your newly coated floor by sunset. Our advanced Polyurea and Polyaspartic coatings cure quickly, ensuring a high-quality finish in just one day. Front porches, back patios, or driveways can often be coated in the same day as the garage. Larger areas like pool decks or commercial spaces (e.g., warehouses, schools) may take 2-3 days, depending on size and complexity.
